Name: Noakhali Science and Technology University Model United Nations Association (NSTUMUNA) is one of the most active organizations in NSTU's history. This student-led organization strives to strengthen the creative and professional skills, e.g., communication, public speaking, leadership, organizing, research and writing skill, etc., and digital competence of NSTU students by employing the themes of the United Nations. This association has active, energetic, and dedicated individuals who work to promote the concept of Model United Nations and its implementation on the NSTU campus and throughout Bangladesh. The inaugural delegation of 5 members attended DUNMUN 2013. After two years, a delegation of 9 delegates attended CUMUN 2015 and JMUN 2015 prior to the formation of this association. On September 4th, 2015, NSTUMUNA was formed by eight visionaries to better equip students in their personal and professional domains. The club activities continued and reached new heights since then! NSTUMUNA organizes workshops; Podiums - Practice MUN sessions; and various brainstorming activities not only at NSTU but throughout the coastal region. Members of this group take part in a variety of MUN conferences across the country. The journey of organizing MUN conferences at NSTU premises started with Intra-NSTUMUN’16. NSTUMUNA kept consistency by its first-ever national MUN conference revealing NSTUMUN’17, and since which, it went on to unveil the fourth consecutive edition of the national MUN conference, NSTUMUN’20. Along with the national conferences, to date, this association has organized two editions of Intra-MUN and three sessions of Diplomatic Symposium - the last was Diplomatic Symposium 2022. The COVID-19 pandemic had disrupted the daily activities of lives but worked otherwise for NSTUMUNA. During the precarious time of the pandemic, online platforms were used to introduce several types of new endeavors, including Speak Out: Season 1, FUN (Fathoming UN), Podcasts and Webinars, e.g., "Career after Pandemic”, “The Better Half”, etc. The official website of NSTUMUNA was also launched recently. NSTUMUNA has been a symbol of dedication to many individuals on the NSTU campus and within the MUN community, confirming tasks with subtlety. Apart from MUN-oriented activities, NSTUMUNA devotes its time and resources to various humanitarian projects in collaboration with national and multi-national organizations, epitomizing that NSTUMUNA not only preaches peace but also actively works to make it a reality in the community. Currently, the sixth Executive Committee of the association is navigating this voyage to excellence, where the Governing Body members are leading upfront and to the aide, they have Senior Executive, Executive, Senior Associate, and Associate.
